The band released their first original singles, Hide Your Love Away on Februand "Best Thing" on March 27, 2013. He is planning to be a solo Christian artist. Joseph Stamper was announced as the new member of the group a week later.
On they performed in Williamsburg, VA, Kyle Kupecky than announced his departure from the group. They also performed for the Rock and Worship Roadshow. In 2011 Anthem lights performed for the Listen to the Sound Tour. Kyle said the meaning of Anthem Lights is "T hese songs this record is our anthem to the world saying, "Listen, we know there's a lot of darkness in this life, but in the end, light is gonna win." And we wanna be the light to people and just show them who the light of the world is." On FebuAnthem Lights released their first EP album and "Can't Shut Up," was the first track from their EP, peaked at No. 42 on Billboard's Christian Songs chart a nd at No. 27 on the CHR radio charts. Once they changed their name they signed to Union Records. They than changed their name before any other albums were released. They released one EP in May of 2009 under that name. The original name of the band was Yellow Cavalier in 2008-2009. Alan was not sure about being in the band but he decided at the last minuet to join. Chad than flew to LA to meet Caleb and Kyle who accepted their membership into the band.
They than were told that Kyle Kupecky and Caleb Grimm would be the best fit to form a band with them. They than alerted their contacts at Liberty University to recruit members. As Chad and Alan were working together they realized the songs would be better performed as a group. Alan Powell singer song writer was living in LA with Chad and he wrote songs for him. Chad Graham was a solo project vocal artist in 2007.
